Adobe’s puzzling Flash table
On the Adobe website there is a table which contains the latest Flash Player version information. Or at least that’s what Adobe says.
Here it is:
Platform | Browser | Player version |
---|---|---|
Windows | Internet Explorer (and other browsers that support Internet Explorer ActiveX controls and plug-ins) | 10.1.53.64 |
Windows | Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Opera (and other plugin-based browsers) | 10.1.53.64 |
Macintosh – OS X | Firefox, Opera, Safari | 10.1.53.64 |
Linux | Mozilla, Firefox, SeaMonkey | 10.1.53.64 |
Solaris | Mozilla | 10.1.53.64 |
I find it rather puzzling.
What does that “Mozilla” mean?
Where is Safari for Windows? Under the “and other plugin-based browsers”?
And what about Chrome? Google even incorporated an internal version of Flash and there’s no mention of its browser in the table.
